Advanced Oxidation Process “Biperliminate™” is effective treatment for a wide range of pollutants
BI Pure Water’s “Biperliminate™” Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) in combination with biological treatment greatly expands the range of wastewaters treatable by biology. An AOP is cheaper, more effective and ‘much greener’ than competing processes.
AOP treatment is particularly useful for refractory wastes with aromatic functionality and many other difficult to treat organic chemical contaminants, such as: phenol from refineries and chemical synthesis, polychlorinated biphenyls, creosotes, naphthenic acids from oil/gas extraction, drugs and synthetic hormones from the pharmaceutical industry and a wide range of difficult to treat industrial wastewaters. Biperliminate used in combination with membrane bioreactors (MBR/MBBR) can treat large volumes. The AOP also has potential for increasing biogas generation, and BI Pure Water is currently seeking partners for this application.
BI Pure has successfully piloted the technology with leachate from several Canadian landfills and a contaminated legacy industrial site. We are seeking more partnerships with potential customers that have “challenging waters” that need a practical way to reduce harmful waste. Customers that spend more than $2 per m3 to dispose of their difficult waste will find our AOP a greener and more effective treatment.
